FXRoad licence numbers
FXRoad publishes Seychelles licence SD052, held by 4 Square SY Limited. We want to be clear about two things up front. The licence is current, not expired as several sources claim. And it is shared with Capitalix, a broker we rate Scam at 2.7, with both brands properly declared as trade names on the same entry.
What the Seychelles register says
Read on the Financial Services Authority's securities dealers list on 24 September 2026:
| Licence holder | 4 Square SY Limited |
| Declared trade names | CAPITALIX and FXROAD |
| Address | CT House, Office 4B, Providence, Mahe, Seychelles |
| Contact email | [email protected] |
| Website | www.fxroad.com |
This is how a shared licence is supposed to look. Both brands are declared, the regulator has both on file, and neither is hiding behind the other. Compare HighMarkets, which appears on its licence only as a website rather than as a declared trade name.
The "expired since May 2024" claim is wrong
A number of sites report that SD052 lapsed in May 2024. We checked the FSA register directly and the licence is listed as current. We checked it again on 24 September 2026 and 4 Square SY Limited is still on the securities dealers list with both trade names.
This correction cuts against our own verdict, and we are publishing it anyway. FXRoad rates High Risk at 3.1 on this site for reasons that have nothing to do with an expired licence, and repeating a convenient error would make the rest of the review less trustworthy, not more.
It is also a useful example of why checking the register yourself beats reading a list. Second-hand licence claims go stale in both directions.
One licence, two brands, one thing to watch
Sharing a licence is legal and disclosed. The practical consequence for a client is concentration: if 4 Square SY Limited fails, both brands fail together, and a Seychelles licence carries no compensation scheme to fall back on.
It also means the conduct record of one brand is relevant to the other. Capitalix carries a Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (Chile) notice dated 27 June 2023 and had its Trustpilot rating removed after a guidelines breach, with 94% of 349 reviews at one star. That is the same company as the one behind FXRoad.
What SD052 does not give you
- No compensation scheme. Nothing to claim from if the firm fails owing you money.
- No retail ombudsman.
- No leverage cap of the kind the FCA and ESMA impose at 30:1 on major pairs.
- No negative balance protection requirement.
Our guide on compensation schemes puts numbers on the difference.
Check it yourself
Search the FSA Seychelles securities dealers list for the licence holder, 4 Square SY Limited, rather than for the brand. The entry names both trade names, which is exactly what you want to see and exactly what a search for "FXRoad" alone will not show you. Our guide sets out the method.
Frequently asked questions
What is FXRoad's licence number?
Seychelles licence SD052, held by 4 Square SY Limited at CT House, Office 4B, Providence, Mahe. The register records CAPITALIX and FXROAD as declared trade names on the same entry, with [email protected] as the contact email.
Has FXRoad's licence expired?
No. Several sites report that SD052 expired in May 2024. We checked the FSA Seychelles register directly and the licence is current, with 4 Square SY Limited still listed as a securities dealer and FXROAD still a declared trade name as at 24 September 2026.
Are FXRoad and Capitalix the same company?
They share a licence holder. 4 Square SY Limited holds SD052 and declares both CAPITALIX and FXROAD as trade names. That means the same company stands behind both brands, and a Chilean regulator notice and a removed Trustpilot rating attached to Capitalix concern that same company.
