HighMarkets Review: The Licence Belongs to the Company Behind Algobi
HighMarkets is operated by DXA Seychelles Limited under FSA Seychelles licence SD218. That is the same company and the same licence number that sits behind Algobi, which we rate Scam. The FSA's public list of securities dealers shows that entity under the declared trade name Algobi, and lists highmarkets.com among the websites recorded against the licence, but not as a trading name of its own. We score HighMarkets 3.1 out of 10.

Why the score is where it is
1. The licence behind HighMarkets is Algobi’s licence
HighMarkets discloses its operator as DXA Seychelles Limited, company number 8438281-1, holding Financial Services Authority of Seychelles licence SD218. Those are the same three identifiers, character for character, that appear on Algobi, a broker we rate Scam at 2.1 out of 10 after finding it on the Securities Commission Malaysia investor alert list with a suspended Trustpilot score.
One company can legitimately run more than one brand, and that on its own proves nothing about how HighMarkets treats its clients. What it does mean is that a client who has looked at Algobi, decided against it, and moved to HighMarkets has not changed anything about who is holding the money or which regulator has jurisdiction over them. Same entity, same licence, same registered agent, same absence of a compensation scheme.

2. HighMarkets is not a declared trade name on the register
This is the finding that moves the score. The FSA Seychelles public list of licensed securities dealers shows DXA Seychelles Limited with the trade name ALGOBI, at Providence Complex, Office A17 C, Providence, Mahe, and with an algobi.com support address as the listed contact. As at 2 September 2026, HighMarkets does not appear on that entry as a declared trade name. The entry does, however, list highmarkets.com among the websites recorded against the licensed entity, so the firm is disclosed to the regulator as a website of the licence holder while not being named as one of its trading names.
Compare that with 4 Square SY Limited on the same register page, which lists both of its brands, Capitalix and FXRoad, against a single licence. Declaring your brands is clearly possible and other licensees on the same page do it.
The registered address is also inconsistent. The register gives Providence Complex, Office A17 C. The HighMarkets site gives Abis Centre, Providence Industrial Estate, PO Box 1466. Registers do lag behind reality, and this may be nothing more than a stale record. But the practical effect for a prospective client is that if you look up HighMarkets on the Seychelles register, which is exactly what the industry tells you to do, you will not find it.

3. What a Seychelles securities dealer licence does not give you
The licence is genuine, and we credit it as such. It is also our weakest tier, and the reasons are structural rather than a matter of opinion.
There is no investor compensation scheme covering Seychelles-licensed firms. If the firm fails, nothing stands behind your balance. For comparison, the UK’s FSCS covers eligible investment claims up to 85,000 pounds per person per firm and the Cyprus fund pays up to 20,000 euros. There is no ombudsman with jurisdiction to order a payout. There is no statutory retail leverage cap, where a UK, EU or Australian retail account is held to 30:1 on major currency pairs. Client fund segregation is not mandated by the regime, and HighMarkets names no custodian bank, so it cannot be independently confirmed.
HighMarkets states it does not accept residents of the United States, Canada, the European Union, Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Sudan, Myanmar or Russia. Read the first three as a business decision rather than a courtesy. Those are the jurisdictions with leverage caps, mandatory negative balance protection, compensation schemes and a complaints route. Operating outside them is what makes the offer possible.
4. What we could not find, and what that means for the score
We want to be straight about the limits of this assessment. We found no regulator warning naming HighMarkets. We could not access a Trustpilot profile for the domain. We found no published fee schedule, minimum deposit, withdrawal processing time or spread table on the public site.
So the complaints and cost pillars are scored neutrally here, not punitively. Nothing in this review says HighMarkets has refused anyone a withdrawal, because we have no evidence of that. The score is driven by structure: a weak-tier licence, no compensation scheme, no evidenced segregation, and a brand that does not appear on the register it points you to. If a complaint record emerges, the score will move, and it will move in public with a dated entry in the changelog.
Regulation and licence check
Before depositing anywhere, check three things, and check them in this order. First, does the entity name on the regulator’s register match the name on your account agreement and the payment descriptor when you fund? Second, is the brand you are actually signing up with named on that register entry? Third, does accepting a bonus or credit restrict your ability to withdraw? HighMarkets passes the first and fails the second as the register currently reads.
Deposits and withdrawals
HighMarkets does not publish a withdrawal processing time, a fee schedule or a minimum deposit anywhere we could find. That absence is a finding rather than a gap in our research. Firms confident about paying people out tend to say how long it takes, and most of the industry treats it as a selling point.
Questions traders ask
Is HighMarkets the same company as Algobi?
They disclose the same operator. Both name DXA Seychelles Limited, company number 8438281-1, holding FSA Seychelles licence SD218. We are not asserting the two brands are run identically or by the same staff, only that the entity taking deposits and the licence under which it does so are the same on both sites as at 2 September 2026.
Is HighMarkets regulated?
Yes, by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles under licence SD218, held by DXA Seychelles Limited. That is a real licence on a real register. It is our tier 3, the weakest band we score, because it carries no investor compensation scheme, no statutory leverage cap and no ombudsman. Note also that the register entry for that licence names Algobi as the trade name, not HighMarkets.
What happens to my money if HighMarkets fails?
There is no compensation scheme covering Seychelles-licensed firms, so nothing is guaranteed. Segregation is not mandated by that regime and no custodian bank is named, which means it cannot be independently confirmed.
Has any regulator warned about HighMarkets?
We found none as at 2 September 2026. We checked the FCA, CySEC, CONSOB, AMF, BaFin, ASIC and the Securities Commission of Malaysia. Absence of a warning is not a clean bill of health, but we will not imply one exists when we could not find it.
