Advertising and Disclosure
BrokerWatcher earns no commission from any broker rated on this site. There are no affiliate links in our reviews, no paid placements in our rankings, and no broker has paid to change or remove a verdict. This page explains how that works and what would have to be labelled if it ever changed.
How this site makes money
At present it does not. BrokerWatcher is self-funded and carries no advertising, no sponsored reviews and no affiliate partnerships. That is unusual in this industry, where most comparison sites are paid per funded account by the brokers they rank, so it is worth stating plainly rather than burying it.
If that changes
It may. If we sign an affiliate programme or accept advertising, the rules below apply from day one and this page is updated before anything goes live.
- Scores are calculated before any commercial conversation. A broker’s six pillar scores are set from evidence, and a commercial relationship never revisits them.
- Only Trusted brokers could ever carry a partner link. A broker has to earn 7.5 or above on the published methodology first. No commercial relationship can put a link on a Scam or High Risk review.
- Paid content lives on its own template. Any sponsored placement sits under a separate URL, carries a visible paid-placement label, uses
rel="sponsored"on outbound links, and is excluded from every ranking, verdict archive and our XML sitemap. - Rankings are never for sale. Position in a comparison table follows the score. There is no paid tier, no featured slot and no pay-to-play.
Brokers cannot buy a verdict
We are approached by brokers who want a negative review changed or removed. The answer is the same each time. A verdict moves when the evidence behind it moves, and the way to move it is to fix the thing the review documents: get a real licence, name your owners, drop the turnover trap, pay withdrawals on time. Send us proof of any of those and the rating is recalculated in public, with the reason logged.
Right of reply
Every broker we rate can send a response to their review. We publish it unedited and clearly attributed, at no cost and regardless of the verdict. We think a review with the other side attached is more useful than one without.
Outbound links
Links in our reviews point at regulator registers, corporate filings and primary documents so you can repeat our checks. None of them are paid, and we get nothing if you follow one.
