Capitalix licence numbers
Capitalix publishes Seychelles licence SD052, held by 4 Square SY Limited, and the register confirms it: CAPITALIX is a properly declared trade name on that entry. The licence is genuine. It is also the least protective kind of authorisation a retail broker can hold, it is shared with a second brand, and the company behind it already carries a regulator's notice in Chile.

Note the website on file is fxroad.com, not capitalix.com. Both brands are declared, which is the correct way to run two brands on one licence, and it means FXRoad and Capitalix are the same company to the regulator.
A valid licence is not a clean record
Checking SD052 and finding it current is the beginning of the check, not the end. Three things sit alongside it.
A Chilean regulator notice. The Comisión para el Mercado Financiero published a notice concerning Capitalix on 27 June 2023. Some sources date this to June 2025; the correct date is 2023, which we confirmed at source rather than taking from an aggregator.
A removed Trustpilot rating. Trustpilot took down Capitalix's score following a guidelines breach, with 94% of 349 reviews at one star. Trustpilot calls this a Consumer Warning: the score is hidden, paid features end, and it runs for a fixed period, usually six months. Our guide explains the action and why the date you check matters.
A shared licence. If 4 Square SY Limited fails, both brands fail together, and there is no scheme to claim against.
What SD052 does not give you
- No compensation scheme. Compare the FSCS at £85,000 in the UK, or €20,000 under the standard European floor.
- No retail ombudsman to escalate a complaint to.
- No leverage cap. The FCA and ESMA hold retail leverage on major pairs to 30:1. A Seychelles licence imposes nothing equivalent.
- No negative balance protection requirement.
