Is TradeEU Global a scam?

We rate TradeEU Global High Risk rather than Scam. There is a real licence behind it and we found no regulator warning naming the firm. What there is instead is a name that implies something the company itself denies, and a structure that leaves nothing standing behind your balance.

The name says EU. The company excludes the EU.

TradeEU Global is operated by TRADESENSE HOLDING LTD, registered in Mauritius as company 183967, under Financial Services Commission licence GB21026906. A Cyprus company, TRADESENSE HOLDING CYPRUS LTD (HE 441511), acts as paying agent.

Its own list of excluded jurisdictions includes the European Union, alongside the USA, Canada, Russia, Belarus, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Cuba and North Korea. So a broker trading under a European-sounding name, taking deposits through a Cyprus payment company, does not serve Europe and holds no European authorisation.

That is not illegal. It is a marketing decision that makes the firm look regulated somewhere it is not, and it is the single biggest reason for the rating.

What the Mauritius licence does and does not give you

• No compensation scheme. Mauritius has none covering FSC investment dealers. If the firm fails, nothing pays you out.
• Segregation is not evidenced. No custodian bank is named anywhere on the site.
• Leverage to 1:200 on a $250 minimum, well above the 30:1 an EU or UK retail client would be capped at.

The complaint signal

Trustpilot sits at roughly 1.6 across 98 reviews. That is a signal rather than a regulatory finding, and it is a low one.

Before you decide

Check that the entity named on your account agreement is TRADESENSE HOLDING LTD and that the licence number matches GB21026906 on the FSC Mauritius register. A paying agent is not your broker, and the Cyprus company in the payment chain does not extend any European protection to you.
