Is Seekapa a scam?

Seekapa puts a Cyprus company number where a licence number belongs, and offers more leverage the more you deposit. We rate it Scam.

The credential that is not one

The site presents Bluepine Ltd, owned by Bluetimber Ltd, Cyprus company HE462052, at Vasili Michaelidi 21-23, Areti Tower, Limassol, alongside Seychelles reference SD183.

A Cyprus company registration number and a CySEC licence number look similar to a reader and mean entirely different things. HE462052 records that a company was incorporated in Cyprus. It says nothing about whether that company may take deposits, hold client money, or deal in CFDs. A CySEC licence is a number in the form 123/45, published on the CySEC register with the firm's permitted services and its approved domains. Seekapa has no such entry, and a Limassol address is not a Cyprus licence.

Leverage that rises with your deposit

Leverage scales from 1:200 up to 1:600 on the Pro tier, on a $500 minimum, with the tier set by how much you deposit.

This is the inversion worth understanding. Under FCA and ESMA rules, leverage above the retail cap is gated behind evidence of experience and means, because the trader taking the larger risk should be the one able to absorb it. Here the gate is the size of your deposit. Depositing more does not make you a better trader; it makes you a more valuable customer, and the structure rewards that rather than competence.

At 1:600, a move of roughly 0.17% against you takes the margin.

A pattern worth recording

Seekapa and Axia Investments run identical five-rung deposit ladders at $500, $5,000, $10,000, $50,000 and $250,000, and both exclude the same unusual set: the EEA, the United States, and British Columbia specifically.

We record that as an observation. No connection between the two firms is asserted, because none has been established.

How to check this yourself

Open the CySEC register and search for Seekapa or Bluepine. If there is no entry, no Cyprus licence exists, whatever the address on the site suggests. Then ask the firm directly which regulator supervises it and what the licence number is, and look that number up on the regulator's own site.

Capital.com is a broker whose CySEC entry you can read in about thirty seconds, including the domains its licence covers. That is what a licensed broker looks like.
