Is OneTradePro a scam?

Yes, on the evidence available. OneTradePro says the Hong Kong SFC licenses it. The SFC has published the site on its Alert List as suspicious.

The two documents

What the site says: "We are a company licensed and regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). License number: MFS915."

What the SFC says: the Alert List entry for https://www.onetradepro.com/en/, category "Suspicious websites", dated 20 August 2026. The SFC publishes that list for websites it believes may be targeting Hong Kong investors without a licence.

Those two statements cannot both be right, and only one of them comes from the regulator.

The details that support it

• No legal entity. The site names no company, no registration number and no address. SFC licensing publishes all three, plus the responsible officers.
• A segregation claim that requires a licence to be true. The site states client funds are held in segregated accounts in compliance with SFC requirements. Those requirements apply to licensed corporations.
• 1:500 leverage on the VIP tier, which is well above what Hong Kong permits a licensed firm to offer retail clients.
• A claimed founding date of 25 November 2014, with no corporate record anywhere to match it.
• An identical sister site. Borsaway carries the same three account tiers at the same three deposit levels with the same three leverage caps, claims a different SFC number, and was listed by the SFC a week earlier.

What this does not mean

It does not mean every trade you saw on the platform was fictional, and it does not mean losing money is proof of fraud. Retail traders lose money at licensed brokers routinely. The finding is that the regulatory claim on the homepage is contradicted by the regulator named in it.

If you have money there

Stop depositing, particularly if you have been asked for a fee to release a withdrawal. Screenshot the site and your account before anything changes. Ask your bank about a chargeback for card payments and a recall for transfers. Report it to your national regulator and to the SFC. Do not pay anyone who offers to recover the funds.
