OneTradePro Review: No Company Name, and a Contract Naming a Regulator That Does Not Exist
OneTradePro claims to be licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission under licence MFS915. The SFC placed onetradepro.com on its own Alert List as a suspicious website on 20 August 2026. The site names no legal entity and no address. We score OneTradePro 1.0 out of 10.

There is a fast way to check a Hong Kong broker, and OneTradePro fails it in an unusual way: the regulator it names has already published its opinion of the website.
The claim
We are a company licensed and regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). License number: MFS915.
The site adds that it was founded on 25 November 2014, and that client funds are held in fully segregated accounts separate from company funds in top-tier banks, in compliance with SFC requirements.
What the SFC actually published
The SFC maintains two separate lists, and the difference is the whole story.
The first is the public register of licensed corporations. Every licensed firm has a CE number, and the register returns the company name, the regulated activities it may carry on, the responsible officers and the licensed premises.
The second is the Alert List, where the SFC publishes websites and entities that it believes may be targeting Hong Kong investors while unlicensed. On 20 August 2026 the SFC added this entry:
| Website | https://www.onetradepro.com/en/ |
|---|---|
| Category | Suspicious websites |
| Date listed | 20 August 2026 |
A firm cannot be on both lists at once. The regulator named on the homepage is the same body that has flagged the homepage.
The segregation sentence deserves its own paragraph
The claim that client funds are held in segregated accounts in compliance with SFC requirements is not a vague marketing line. SFC segregation obligations attach to licensed corporations, and they come with client money rules, monthly returns and an audit. Claiming compliance with an obligation you are not subject to is a specific statement about a specific regime, and it is the sort of sentence that exists to answer the question a cautious depositor asks.
The sister site
This review would be shorter if OneTradePro were the only one. It is not. Borsaway, an Arabic-language site the SFC listed a week earlier on 13 August 2026, uses the same structure:
| OneTradePro | Borsaway | |
|---|---|---|
| Claimed regulator | Hong Kong SFC | Hong Kong SFC |
| Claimed licence | MFS915 | AGM 642 |
| Entry tier | Classic, $250, 1:100 | Classic, $250, 1:100 |
| Middle tier | Gold, $5,000, 1:200 | Gold, $5,000, 1:200 |
| Top tier | VIP, $10,000, 1:500 | VIP, $10,000, 1:500 |
| Islamic account | Offered on every tier | Offered on every tier |
| SFC Alert List | 20 August 2026 | 13 August 2026 |
Two independent brokers do not arrive at four identical numbers by coincidence. This is one product deployed twice, in two languages, aimed at two markets. Whoever runs it can deploy it again next month under a third name, which is the practical reason to recognise the shape rather than memorise the brand.
The tiers are the business model
$250, then $5,000, then $10,000, with the spread improving and the leverage rising at each step. Read that as a script rather than a price list. The $250 tier exists so that a first deposit feels small. The improvement promised at $5,000 gives the next call something to sell. Leverage rising with deposit size is the reverse of how supervised markets work, where higher leverage requires you to demonstrate more experience, not more money.
Hong Kong caps retail forex margin well below 1:500. A licensed SFC corporation could not advertise the VIP tier on this page.
What is missing
Working through the site, the absences are as telling as the claims. There is no legal entity name. No company registration number. No registered address in Hong Kong or anywhere else. No named directors or responsible officers, which SFC licensing requires and publishes. No audited accounts. The footer reads only © 2026 All Rights Reserved to One Trade Pro Y, with a trailing letter that looks like an unfinished template.
Set that against the claim of a firm founded in 2014. A broker with twelve years of history has a corporate record. This one has a copyright line.
What the score is made of
| Pillar | Weight | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regulation and licence tier | 30% | 0.3 | Claims an SFC licence; the SFC has listed the site as suspicious |
| Fund safety and withdrawals | 25% | 0.4 | A false segregation claim is worse than no claim |
| Cost and execution | 15% | 2.0 | Spreads quoted by tier, no instrument-level schedule |
| Transparency | 15% | 0.5 | No entity, no address, no directors, no registration number |
| Complaint record | 10% | 2.5 | Short public history under this name |
| Platform and support | 5% | 3.0 | Unverified |
The total is 1.0 out of 10, which places it in the Scam band. Borsaway scores the same, and that is not laziness on our part. Where two sites are the same product, the same score is the accurate answer.
If you have already deposited
- Do not send more. A request for a further payment to release a withdrawal, whatever it is called, is the point at which losses usually double.
- Screenshot the licence claim, the segregation claim, your balance and every payment confirmation. The Alert List entry is dated and public, so save that too.
- Card deposits: ask your bank for a chargeback under services not provided. Most schemes allow 120 days.
- Crypto deposits: transfers cannot be reversed, but the receiving address is evidence. Record it and give it to the police report.
- Report it to the SFC if you are in Hong Kong, and to your own national regulator wherever you live. Every report adds a dated entry other people can find.
- Refuse recovery offers. Anyone who contacts you promising to get the money back for an up-front fee is running the second half of the same operation.
The check worth learning
Take the licence number off any broker’s site and search the regulator’s own register for it, not a comparison site’s summary of it. Then search the same regulator’s warning or alert list for the domain. Both take minutes and both are free. In this case the second search answers the question before the first one has to.
