Capital.com minimum deposit

€20 for card, e-wallet and most payment methods. €50 by wire transfer. The same figures apply in USD and GBP on accounts denominated in those currencies.

That is genuinely low for a regulated EU broker, and unlike most low-minimum brokers there is no penalty for leaving a small balance alone: Capital.com's terms state it charges no fee in relation to inactive accounts. Deposits and withdrawals carry no fee from Capital.com either, so a €20 account that you fund and then leave will still be €20 next year.

What €20 actually gets you

Very little trading room, and that is the honest answer. EU retail leverage is capped at 30:1 on major currency pairs, so a €20 account controls at most €600 of EUR/USD. A 0.6 pip spread and any adverse move takes a meaningful percentage of the balance immediately.

A minimum deposit is a threshold for opening an account, not a recommendation for funding one. The useful thing about a €20 minimum is that it lets you fund an account, test the platform, place one small trade and withdraw, at almost no cost, before committing anything. Capital.com charges nothing for the deposit or the withdrawal, which makes that test genuinely free apart from the spread and, if you are converting, the 0.7% currency charge.

Before you fund it

Read the entity name on the client agreement. Capital.com currently runs two live CySEC entities, Capital Com Group Ltd (licence 463/25) and Capital Com SV Investments Ltd (licence 319/17), and both list capital.com/en-eu/ as an approved domain. Both are properly licensed. Knowing which one holds your money is still the first thing to check, on any broker.

The full fee breakdown is on the fees page, and the licence check is in our Capital.com review.
