Is Borsaway a scam?

Yes, on the evidence available. Borsaway claims a Hong Kong SFC licence. The SFC has published borsaway.com on its own Alert List as a suspicious website.

The claim against the record

The site says it is licensed and regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission under licence number AGM 642, and holds an AMLO licence for digital assets alongside it.

The SFC says nothing about a licence. On 13 August 2026 it added https://www.borsaway.com to its Alert List under "Suspicious websites", the list it uses for sites it believes may be soliciting Hong Kong investors without authorisation.

On the second claim: Hong Kong's virtual asset regime under the Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance is a separate licence with its own public list of providers. It is not an add-on to an SFC number, and describing it that way suggests the claim was written from news coverage rather than from the rules.

What is not on the site

No company name. No registration number. No registered address. No named directors or responsible officers. SFC licensing publishes every one of those, which is most of what a licence is for.

What this does not mean

It is not a statement that every price on the platform was invented, and losing money on a trade is not itself evidence of fraud. The finding is specific: the regulatory claim on the site is contradicted in public by the regulator it names.

If you have deposited

Stop sending money, above all if a fee has been demanded before a withdrawal. Screenshot the site and your account now. Ask your bank about a chargeback or a transfer recall. Report it to your own regulator and to the SFC. Refuse any offer to recover the funds for an up-front fee.
