Algobi licence numbers

Algobi publishes Seychelles licence SD218, and on the regulator's own register it is the real thing: DXA Seychelles Limited, trading under the declared name ALGOBI. The licence checks out. What it does not do is answer the question most people are actually asking, which is whether the money is safe. Algobi is on the Securities Commission of Malaysia's investor alert list, and its licence sits in a jurisdiction with no compensation scheme at all.

What the Seychelles register says

Read on the Financial Services Authority's securities dealers list on 24 September 2026:

Algobi is properly declared. It is the brand the regulator has on file and the address and support email both belong to it.

There is a second brand on the same licence

The entry lists two websites, and the second one is www.highmarkets.com. HighMarkets is a separate brand that publishes the same SD218 number. Unlike ALGOBI it is not recorded as a declared trade name, only as a website of the licence holder.

If you are checking Algobi, this matters as context rather than as a criticism: one company, one Seychelles licence, two retail-facing brands.

A licence and a regulator's warning are different things

Holding SD218 tells you the Seychelles FSA issued an authorisation. It tells you nothing about how the firm behaves with clients, and another regulator has already published a view on that.

Algobi appears on the Securities Commission of Malaysia's investor alert list. That list names entities the Commission considers to be operating without the approvals Malaysian law requires. It is a warning to Malaysian investors rather than a finding against the Seychelles licence, and the two can coexist: a firm can hold a valid licence in one country and be flagged for soliciting clients it is not authorised to serve in another.

Separately, Trustpilot removed Algobi's rating following a guidelines breach. Trustpilot calls this action a Consumer Warning: it hides the score, ends any paid subscription and stops review invitations, and it runs for a fixed period. What SD218 does not give you

• No compensation scheme. Nothing to claim from if the firm fails owing you money.
• No retail ombudsman.
• No leverage cap of the kind the FCA and ESMA impose at 30:1 on major pairs.
• No negative balance protection requirement.
