FXNovus Review 2026: AMF Blacklisted, No ODP Licence

FXNovus is blacklisted by France's AMF since 7 May 2025 and was warned about by Chile's CMF on 28 August 2025. Its South African company publishes an FSP number but holds no OTC Derivative Provider authorisation, and its own client agreement refuses South African and EU residents. We rate it Scam at 1.1 out of 10.

Two regulators have published warnings about FXNovus, and the licence the firm advertises does not
cover what it does or protect the people it sells to. France’s Autorite des Marches Financiers put
www.fxnovus.com on its Forex blacklist on 7 May 2025. Chile’s Comision para el Mercado Financiero
warned about the same domain on 28 August 2025. Both describe an entity offering financial services
without authorisation.

The licence excludes the country that issued it

FXNovus publishes a clear company statement, which is more than most firms in this band manage.
The footer and the client agreement both name FXNovus (PTY) LTD, a South African company,
registration number 2020/183344/07, at Nr 1 Casino Road, Foundershill, Office G31 Modderfontein
Estate, Johannesburg, with FSP Licence Number 50963 from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority.

The same documents then say this:

“The website and/or the services and/or the products of FXNOVUS (PTY) LTD are NOT intended
to be used by residents of certain jurisdictions such as European Union, South Africa, or to any
other jurisdictions where such distribution would be contrary to local laws and regulations.”

Read that against the licence. The firm advertises South African regulation and refuses South
African clients. Nobody who can actually open an account is covered by the authority whose name is
on the homepage.

An FSP number is not permission to issue CFDs

South Africa separates the two things. An FSP licence is an intermediary licence. Issuing
over-the-counter derivatives, which is what a CFD is, requires authorisation as an OTC Derivative
Provider. We checked the FSCA’s own ODP register on 4 October 2026. A search for “Novus” returns
nothing, in any status: not approved, not applied, not withdrawn. A control search for a known
holder returned its record normally, so the register and the search both work.

That means the number FXNovus publishes, whatever it covers, is not authorisation to issue the
product it sells. We wrote about this exact gap in
our guide on FSP numbers and ODP licences, and
FXNovus is a cleaner example of it than any broker in that piece.

There is a real Cyprus licence, and it is not yours

This is the part that would reassure somebody doing a quick check, so it is worth being precise.
FXNovus’s client agreement, version 0.6, June 2026, states that FXNovus (PTY) LTD “is in the same
group of companies as Peaksight Ltd”, a Cyprus company, registration HE433420, “supervised by the
Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission under CIF license number 440/23”.

That licence is real. We found Peaksight Ltd on CySEC’s own register of Cypriot investment firms,
licence number 440/23, company registration HE 433420. The claim checks out.

It is also not the company you trade with. The agreement is “entered by and between FXNOVUS (PTY)
LTD” and the client. Peaksight is named as a group relative, not as your counterparty, and the same
agreement bars EU residents, who are the people CySEC protects. A genuine licence is sitting in the
group where no client of this brand can reach it.

Then the governing law clause closes the circle:

“The interpretation, construction, effect and enforceability of the Client Agreements
shall be governed by the Laws of South Africa, and you and we agree to submit to the exclusive
jurisdiction…”

A client with a dispute must sue in South Africa, in the one country the firm will not accept
clients from, against a company with no ODP authorisation there.

The inactivity fee is the clearest number on the site

FXNovus publishes a General Fees document, version 0.4, May 2026. Its inactivity schedule reads:

Inactivity period Monthly fee
0 to 1 month 0
After 30 days 100 USD
After 60 days 250 USD
After 180 days 300 USD

A regulated broker that charges inactivity at all typically starts after twelve months and takes
around 10 to 15 USD a month. This one starts after thirty days at 100 USD and reaches 250 USD a
month by the third.

Put a number on it. Deposit 1,000 USD, stop trading, and do nothing else. Month two takes 100 and
leaves 900. Months three, four and five take 250 each and leave 150. Month six takes the rest. A
thousand dollars is gone in about six months without a single trade being placed, and without the
firm having to refuse a withdrawal to achieve it.

Wire withdrawals carry a further 30 USD.

Leverage and the claim on the homepage

FXNovus advertises leverage up to 1:400. Every regulator that supervises retail CFDs caps major
currency pairs at 30:1, including the FCA, ASIC, the DFSA in Dubai and the FSRA in Abu Dhabi. What
1:400 does to an account is arithmetic rather than opinion, and we have set it out in
our leverage guide.

The homepage headline reads “Trade with the World’s No.1 CFD Provider”. No source is given, no
measure is named, and no audited figure supports it. It is the sort of claim a supervised firm
cannot make, which is itself a signal about who is supervising this one.

What to check yourself

Everything above is verifiable in a few minutes, and you should not take our word for any of it.
Search the AMF blacklist for fxnovus. Search the FSCA ODP register for Novus. Search CySEC’s
register for Peaksight. Open the client agreement from the firm’s own legal page and read clause 39
and the jurisdiction note on page 2. Type each regulator’s address yourself rather than following a
link the broker gives you.

If you already have money with FXNovus, the inactivity schedule means waiting is not neutral.
Request a withdrawal, keep the request and every reply, and report the firm to the regulator in your
own country. Our scoring method is published at our methodology page.
