Is FXNovus a scam?
FXNovus scores 1.1 out of 10 on our method and we rate it Scam. The verdict rests on published
regulator warnings and on the firm's own documents, not on complaints we cannot check.
Two regulators have warned about it. The Autorite des Marches Financiers in
France blacklisted www.fxnovus.com on 7 May 2025, stating that the company "offers financial services
or products without being authorized". Chile's Comision para el Mercado Financiero published a
warning on 28 August 2025, recorded at IOSCO under warning ID 40605 and categorised as an
"Unregistered/Unlicensed entity offering financial products or services".
The licence it advertises excludes its own country. FXNovus (PTY) LTD is South
African and publishes FSP Licence Number 50963, and its client agreement says the service is not
intended for residents of the European Union or South Africa. The regulator named on the site cannot
help anybody who is allowed to open an account.
It holds no authorisation to issue the product it sells. Issuing CFDs in South
Africa requires OTC Derivative Provider authorisation. A search of the FSCA's ODP register on
4 October 2026 returned nothing for "Novus" in any status, while a control search for a known holder
returned its record.
The real licence in the group is not your counterparty. The client agreement
names Peaksight Ltd in Cyprus, CySEC licence 440/23, and that licence is genuine; we confirmed it on
CySEC's register. The agreement is still between the client and the South African company, and
Cypriot protection does not follow.
The fee schedule drains dormant accounts. Published inactivity fees start at
100 USD a month after thirty days and reach 250 USD after sixty. A 1,000 USD balance that stops
trading is consumed in roughly six months.
