Is VenturoFX a scam?
Yes, on the evidence available. VenturoFX publishes a regulatory claim that the regulator's own register contradicts, and the FCA has warned against it by name.
The claim and the check
VenturoFX's footer states that VenturoFX Ltd is authorised and regulated by CySEC under licence number CIF 123/12.
We read the CySEC register on 10 September 2026. Licence 123/12 is not held by any of the 251 current Cypriot investment firms, and VenturoFX Ltd is not on the list of firms whose authorisation has been withdrawn either. The number does not correspond to an authorisation that exists now or has existed before.
You can repeat this yourself. CySEC's register is public, searchable by name and by number, and takes a couple of minutes.
The regulator warning
The FCA published a warning against VenturoFX on 4 September 2026, naming venturofx.com, the phone number 7348024401 and the Cookham address the site itself gives. Its wording: the firm may be providing or promoting financial services without permission, and consumers should avoid dealing with it.
Dealing with an unauthorised firm means no Financial Ombudsman Service and no FSCS cover. Those are the two things a UK licence buys you, and neither applies here.
Three other things that do not add up
- A Cypriot licence at an English address. CySEC authorises firms incorporated in Cyprus. VenturoFX gives a Berkshire address.
- 1:500 leverage under rules that cap retail forex at 1:30. A firm cannot advertise the first while claiming the second.
- Crypto funding. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT sit alongside cards on the deposit page. Card payments can be reversed. Crypto cannot.
What this does not mean
Losing money on a trade is not evidence of a scam. Most retail CFD accounts lose money at licensed brokers too, and that is the product rather than misconduct. The finding here is narrower and harder: the licence statement on the website is false, and a regulator has said so in public.
What to do about it
If you have not deposited, do not. If you have, stop adding funds, keep screenshots of the site and your account, ask your bank about a chargeback or a transfer recall, and report the firm to the FCA. Treat any unsolicited offer to recover your money for a fee as a second attempt at the same thing.
