Is Republican FX a scam?

Yes, on the evidence available. New Zealand's FMA has listed Republican FX as a fake investment platform, and the site names no regulator, no licence, no company jurisdiction and no address.

The regulator listing

On 31 July 2026 the FMA added Republican FX, at republicanfx.com, to a page titled "Fake investment platforms", which opens: "New Zealand investors are being regularly targeted by scams using fake online investment platforms." That page was first published 26 November 2025; this firm was added to it on 31 July 2026.

Nothing checkable on the site

No regulator, licence number, jurisdiction, registration number or address. The only corporate identity anywhere is the footer, "©2026 RepublicanFX Markets Incorporated", and "Incorporated" without a country is not a legal identity. The sole contact is a New York phone number, 1-929-274-1552.

The awards

Three are claimed, with bodies named: Best Mobile Trading App (European CEO Magazine, 2019), Best Forex Ecn Broker (UK Forex awards, 2020), Best Trading Conditions (Forex report magazine, 2021).

They stop five years ago, none links to a winners list or announcement, and the second misspells ECN as "Ecn" - award bodies do not misrender their own category names.

The segregation claim

The site advertises "Segregated and supervised client funds". Segregation only means something when a regulator audits the account and acts when reconciliations fail. Supervised by whom is never answered, because no regulator is named. No bank is named either, and no entity that would hold the account.

Everything else absent

No account tiers, minimum deposit, leverage, spreads, commission, named payment methods, or withdrawal times and fees. Parts of the site fail to load images, on a page advertising an award for its mobile app.

What this does not mean

Losing money on a trade is not evidence of fraud. The findings are documentary: a dated regulator listing that uses the word fake, three unverifiable and stale award claims, and a fund-protection claim that requires a supervisor the firm does not have.

If you have money there

Stop depositing. Screenshot the awards and the "segregated and supervised" line now, because both are representations made to induce the deposit. Ask your bank about a chargeback or a recall, citing the FMA listing of 31 July 2026. Report it to the FMA or your own regulator. Refuse any paid recovery offer.
