Is Metaglobal Brokers a scam?
Yes, on the evidence available. Both Australian Business Numbers printed in Metaglobal Brokers' own footer are rejected as invalid by the Australian government's register.
The check
An ABN carries a checksum, so ABN Lookup can tell a wrong number from an unknown one. We ran both numbers on 10 September 2026.
| Number on the site | Said to belong to | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 79684904027 | Metaglobal Brokers PTY LTD | Not a valid ABN |
| 81665910538 | Pulse Markets Pty Ltd | Not a valid ABN |
A dissolved company still has a valid ABN on record. These two numbers have never been ABNs at all.
Pulse Markets Pty Ltd is real, does hold AFSL 220383 from 7 June 2002, and its actual ABN is 14 081 505 268. The licence number quoted on the site belongs to a real firm. The registration numbers around it are invented. Nothing here suggests Pulse Markets had any part in it.
The footer argues with the sign-up page
- "It is authorised to perform financial services to wholesale clients only." A wholesale client in Australia broadly means $500,000 invested, or $2.5 million in net assets, certified. The same site advertises a $10 minimum deposit. Anyone who can open the account is outside the authorisation the site claims.
- Australia and New Zealand appear on the restricted territories list. An Australian company claiming an Australian licence, refusing Australian clients.
The regulator alert
On 22 June 2026 metaglobalbrokers.com was added to the Canadian Securities Administrators' investor alerts through a British Columbia Securities Commission listing, for appearing to engage in securities activities that may pose a risk to investors.
How the money moves
Deposits start at $10 via USDT-TRX, with BTC and card also offered. The minimum withdrawal is $20.30 in USDT-TRX, which is twice the minimum deposit. Crypto transfers cannot be charged back or recalled. The published account tiers run up to VIP at $100,000, and that is the only tier whose minimum is disclosed.
What this does not mean
It is not a finding about individual trades or about anyone's losses. It is documentary: two invented registration numbers, a licence belonging to an unrelated firm, an authorisation the site says does not cover its own customers, and a dated regulator alert.
If you have deposited
Stop, especially if a payment is being requested before a withdrawal will be processed. Screenshot the footer now, because it is the evidence. Ask your bank about a chargeback for card payments. Record every crypto address you sent to. Report it to ASIC, since another firm's AFSL is being used, and to your own regulator. Ignore any offer to recover the money for a fee.
